Meet Our Founder
Success & Happiness Psychologist Kath Temple founded The Happiness Foundation back in 2009. She is now our CEO … Chief Enthusiasm Officer J Kath is in her wisdom years, a grandmother now as well as a mother. She says ‘The world needs happier people! Happier people are kinder, more altruistic, more co-operative, fairer, less self-focused and more other focused, and they infect and affect others in a positive way.’

We develop and deliver inspirational programmes and 1-1 support to families, adults, children and young people in our local community to create healthier, wealthier, happier, more successful and more inclusive communities by raising your self-esteem, confidence and aspirations, igniting potential, shifting limiting beliefs, improving mental health, mental toughness, the ability to manage anger and feelings, manage stress, and relationships better, build resilience and increase positive lifestyle choices leading to better chances in life, and better life expectancy.
As well as promoting positive psychology we also tackle the challenges that get in the way of Happiness such as depression, anxiety, stress, relationship breakdown, abuse, trauma, phobias.

We coach and teach people how massively powerful the mind is, why we think and feel as we do, how we can change our minds, how we can shift beliefs, and shift results in life.

We teach personal leadership, personal responsibility and accountability, helping you create a coherent vision for your one wild and precious life, clarify your values, and action and walk those values into your life, your family, your workplace, and your community.
Your Brain Is Nature’s Pharmacy
We also teach about the natural pharmacy in your brain, and how your thinking switches on and off different brain juices (neuropeptides) and the effects of these on your physical strength, voice, energy, power, and health. We also teach you how changing your body language can change your thinking and your feelings.
Your Food Affects Your Mood
We build understandings of the natural pharmacy in the foods we eat and how different foods affect our mood, thoughts, energy, behaviour, health and longevity.
Positive Psychology & The Economy Of Happiness
We proactively promote the powerful impact of positive psychology and the economy of happiness – the links between Happiness, success, health and wellness, and longevity.
We Tackle The Challenges That Get In The Way of Happiness
We also tackle the life challenges and issues that get in the way of Happiness, such as depression and anxiety which account for 87% of all mental illness, self-harm, addiction, relationship breakdowns. We aim to put the smile back on people’s faces and positive energy back in their lives, creating brighter futures and healthier happier lives.
The first peace in the world is self-peace, and without peace of mind there is little Happiness.
Happiness Matters at Work & In Business
We also work with Businesses and look at Happiness At Work and it’s link with morale, co-operation collaboration and fairness, productivity and profitability.

We take a life-cycle approach. We have much to offer at all of life’s ages and stages to help you live your best life, no matter how young or old you are.
Wherever possible we facilitate inter-generational connections, reconnecting the Elders with the young, which improves outcomes for both, and increases what the great psychologist Lev Vygotsky called ‘the social transmission of knowledge’.
Working With Parents, Working With Schools
As well as working responsively to address mental health and well-being needs in our community, we also work proactively to promote positive psychology across the lifecycle and work with adults, schools and young people, and parents to build better relationship & communication skills leading to stronger families and stronger communities.
Our communities could be changed within one or two generations using this proactive approach.
